November Service Project - Indian Creek Redux

Beautifying Washington County one planting at a time!

November Service Project - Indian Creek Redux

WCLPTX Nov Work Day.JPGFor our second work project, we went back to the Indian Creek Nature Area to plant a beautiful row of wax myrtle trees to replace the screen that the recently removed invasive ligustrum plants had provided. In just a few hours on a sunny, cool day (unlike the project in August... harumph), we knocked out a lot of planting as well as some other beautification projects (such as getting rid of a huge burn pile).

When we work together to accomplish small things that have large long-term effects, we can make Texas a better place to be... for ourselves AND for future generations.

Many thanks to the City of Burton, Judy (and Sophie the dog!), and all the Washington County Libertarians for coming out to help. And none of it would have happened without the efforts of William Amelang and Texas Roots!

Washington County Libertarian service projects are open to all who want to help make Washington County a better place to live—you don't have to be a Libertarian Party member, you just have to want to make a difference!

Want to participate in the fun and meet some of the folks who are doing these projects before you come out and help with one? Come hang out with us at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Brenham, Texas on Monday, December 9th (7:00p) for our final meeting of 2019 where we will map out 2020 and enjoy some Christmas Cheer together. Feel free to contact us for details or go to our facebook page and let us know you are coming.
